Users can search for photos by location in the Explore area. Set the map to a location (world down to street level) and type in a search query. Markers will appear on the map with photos that contain that query in the tags or description of the photo."

Darauf haben viele gewartet, denn nach kurzer Zeit waren schon über eine Million Bilder "geogetagged".

Schade nur, dass davon Google Earth nicht profitieren wird...

Im australischen Outback wird nun eine Solaranlage gebaut, die Solarenergie mit Turbinen in el. Energie umwandelt.

So ist auf money.cnn.com zu lesen:

"The tower will be over there," Davey says, pointing to a spot a mile distant where a 1,600-foot structure will rise from the ocher-colored earth. Picture a 260-foot-diameter cylinder taller than the Sears Tower encircled by a two-mile-diameter transparent canopy at ground level. About 8 feet tall at the perimeter, where Davey has his feet planted, the solar collector will gradually slope up to a height of 50 to 60 feet at the tower's base.

Acting as a giant greenhouse, the solar collector will superheat the air with radiation from the sun. Hot air rises, naturally, and the tower will operate as a giant vacuum. As the air is sucked into the tower, it will produce wind to power an array of turbine generators clustered around the structure."

Weiterhin existiert bereits ein Prototyp in Spanien, bei welchen das deutsche Ingeneurbüro Schlaich Bergermann and Partner maßgeblich an der Entwicklung beteiligt war.

Microsoft hat wiedermal etwas neues Entwicklung, es handelt sich dabei um eine Software die Bilder in einen 3D-Raum so darstellt, wie sie in Wirklichkeit fotografiert wurden. Das Video sieht schonmal sehr vielversprechend aus..

Es ist ja allgemein bekannt, dass manche Homepage kurzlebiger ist, als so mancher One Night Stand. Da hilft natürlich auch das Bookmarken nichts.

Aufmerksame Leser werden sich an den Toread Artikel erinnern, welche schon einen Lösungsansatz für dieses Problem bietet. Nun habe ich eine neue Seite entdeckt, welche sich einfach als Bookmarklet im Firefox integrieren lässt.

Einfach den interessanten Teil markieren und das Bookmarklet anklicken, schon wird der wird das Ganze auf clipclip.org gespeichert. Vorher muss man sich natürlich ganz nach Web2.0 Tags aussuchen.

Das Ergebnis sind, dann durch Tags identifizierbare "Informationshappen", welche sich von überall aus abrufen lassen!

Angesicht dieser Entwicklungen (Datenhaltung im Web), frage ich mich ob die Computer der übernächsten Generation überhaupt noch Festplatten haben werden..
